Farmhouse chic is a big thing right now- I have an easy diy project to help you get the farmhouse look you are after.
I needed some fillers for my mantle last week and thought up these spindles painted white. Crossing my fingers that my idea would turn out as cool as it was in my mind, I tried to figure out how to get some cool spindles. I do not own a spinning lathe to make my own and I didn’t have a ton of money to spend on having someone make them for me….SO! Off to my favorite store I drove. If you have a ReStore near you GO! You will find all kinds of fun things to create projects with and BONUS! all the money goes to charity.
ReStore always has a ton of old stair spindles. They are normally between $2-$5 each. If you buy a bunch they might let you take them for $1-$2, doesn’t hurt to ask.
I brought them home and cut them at different lengths on my chop saw. Then I took them down to my basement and hit them with white spray paint. After they dried, a simple and quick distressing with 220 sand paper, AND DONE!
A super simple diy project. We can call these “affordable fillers” I always need little fillers for shelves or my mantle decor.
