My husband is REALLY hard to buy gifts for. It is always tricky to find the right thing, every holiday is a bit of a struggle. Curse you man gifts!!! (shaking my hands at the sky)
I have put together a list of gifts that will hopefully help you navigate gift buying for your main man…especially if he is a hard one to buy for.
In no particular order-
- Bluetooth Head Phones- “The tech present”….ugh. SO MANY OPTIONS! One techy thing my husband might like, your husband/boyfriend might hate. With technology constantly changing finding the right gift in this area can be overwhelming. If you are going in the tech direction for a gift -cordless bluetooth headphones might the perfect idea! These are great for working out, working in the shop, gaming, or whatever man stuff your guy is into- he can probably wear these while doing it. They range from about $70-$200. Costco has some if you need a quick gift to pick up OR you can of course purchase online. CLICK HERE to see options. We have a pair of the Nakamichi brand that we share. We love them.
- Engraved Cutting Board- This Valentine’s Day I got a cutting board for my husband and had a name that is special to us engraved in to it. FamilyLaser.com made it easy to order this gift. They have beautiful cutting boards and MORE! You can engrave all kinds of things! You could even put his favorite sports team logo on a cutting board, tray, picture frame, etc.
- Cooking Tools- Along the same lines as a cutting board, men like cooking tools! A grill, a new knife…what does he complain about in the kitchen? We can fix that for him. Two of my husbands favorite kitchen gifts have been a griddle and this veggie chopper (pictured below). This chopper is from Williams Sonoma and you can find it by CLICKING HERE.
- SHIRTS! Men love shirts….whether your man loves nice dress shirts or good quality t-shirts, they always need a new shirt! Right?! This is kinda a safe gift, maybe number two only to the gift card option. Two of our favorite places to buy shirts are Stately Type and 6 Dollar Shirts.
- Chocolate….GUNS! Say what? Yeah, make him laugh with a full size hand gun made of chocolate. A full POUND of chocolate! Or chocolate bullets, chocolate buck poop, chocolate grenade…it’s weird…he will love it. The gun comes in a real gun case he can use again too! Don’t worry, the gun doesn’t shoot. It just tastes good! YUM!! Click HERE to see more chocolate weapons.
- A Monthly Subscription Box- These can be fun a gift that keeps on giving. You can choose the number of months that you want a box of goodies delivered right to his door. They have a wide range of price points and you can find a box perfect for your mans interests. A few that I thought my husband would be interested in are: Dollar Shave Club, Bespoke Post, Birch Box, and Blue Apron. Although, there are many more out there!
- Commercial Grade Vacuum Sealer- This would be a great gift for the man who likes to hunt. He can save all that organic meat he brings home. Waste not, want not. Cabela’s carries a great one and has regular sales- so you can get a good deal on one. “Commerical Grade” sounds so manly.
- Political Soap Heads- Is your man into politics? OR does he just really hate politics?! Either way this can be a fun and silly gift for him. Scrub your bum with your least favorite politician HA! I hear there’s a Hilary, Trump, and Bernie head coming soon. Hahaha! Find them HERE
- Dinner or Vacation- Sometimes a good dinner with just the two of you or a simple weekend away is the perfect gift. Check for deals on weekend trips in your area. A simple movie night in a hotel away from the hustle and bustle of life can me a fun and memorable weekend. Hunt down a food truck serving his favorite dish. OR be big spender and take him out to the fancy restaurant you have both been dying to try. Make him feel special by trying an activity or food that HE loves. Taking time to create a good memory can be the best gift of all.
- Grateful Letter- We don’t say it enough! “I am grateful for you because…..” As much as us ladies like to hear why we are important and why our man loves us, he likes and needs it too! It is SO important for us to take the time to let the man in our life know what they mean to us. A letter listing why you are grateful for him might be the only gift he needs. He works hard, he’s a good man, let’s make sure he knows it.
And if the kids want to join in and write something cute for dad here are some links to my favorite free printables. We have used these in our house. These are great for Father’s day of course, but also his birthday or any special day your kids want to tell Dad they love him.
