New Product Alert!! This cute little MDF tie is now available for your crafting needs! Oh the possibilities!
My mind was on Father’s Day when I stopped into The Wood Connection for crafts. I wanted to create a fun mantle to celebrate our main man, Dad.
For this banner craft I grabbed some string, paint, wood glue, plaid paper, a sanding block, tie cut out, and half circle bunting cut out. This project was easy to finish in one afternoon. My three year old even helped me a little with the painting.
I painted the half circles “Quaker Grey” and painted all the ties plain white. After they were dry I lightly sanded each piece and started to apply the paper to the ties. If you are nervous about gluing paper to MDF, like I was, ask the ladies in the front of the store for one of their instruction sheets. I was amazed at how simple it was to apply with their wood glue and instructions. I haven’t had such great luck doing this in the past, I was so happy with how it turned out!
Wood truck and house are also available at The Wood Connection. The rustic wood frames are from Hobby Lobby. Here is a link right to the tie’s- click HERE They are $1.50 each.
AND! This darling print by Brianne Cartwright of Design Wright is available on my blog by clicking HERE.

I can’t wait to see what you do with these ties! Have fun celebrating your main guy this Father’s Day! And as always, get crafty with your bad self.
