When we moved into our new house I felt like it was a blank canvas just waiting for me to make it HOME. We downsized like 2,000 square feet when we bought this house so I knew a few rooms needed to become rooms with more than one purpose. The front room had a nice little space perfect for some built-in cabinets. I thought that hiding a desk and computer would be great way to use this space and gain some extra storage (and get the computer out of our bedroom).
Here’s what the room looked like before-
I drew a little picture of what I wanted and showed it to the carpenter and he got to work!
It came out looking JUST as I had imagined it in my head. Once the cabinets were built it was my turn to finish it off with handles and the reclaimed wood top.

I’m in love with this space now.
