I like things clean! To help pay my way through college I cleaned houses. It’s fun for me to make a space look new again. Working on a small stain or cleaning a whole room is kinda my jam. I have actually gotten in trouble for cleaning before…haha! When I visit my parents in Seattle I’m told I can’t clean anymore, because then they can’t find anything… It’s where it should be! π Haha! But, even though I like things clean I also believe in messes. I believe kids should make messes. I believe my kids should have easy access to art supplies and be creative when the mood strikes them. Which also means I get marker or crayon marks all over. (Ruby, who is 4, is actually sitting next to me in bed right now coloring.) π My kids color and paint ALL the time! They are supposed to be crafty at the kitchen table, but that doesn’t always happen. I find them laying on the floor or on the couch being creative or writing notes AND I let them be. If it’s not a permanent marker I’m cool. I just know that I’m gonna have to clean that couch later…
Not that I’m perfect either! Ha!! I’m a crafty mama and my crafting travels all over…so I’ve splattered paint on nice furniture π¬ and dripped food coloring on my carpet. I’m like a child! Haha! Except, I clean up after myself. π
But how do I get food coloring out of the carpet (4 months later) and marker out of the couch?!!
With this bad boy.
It’s for carpet, but I use it on any fabric stains. I’ve used it on my fancy wool carpets, my West Elm sofa, old vintage furniture…pretty much whatever we actually use or my kids touch. Ha! Real life! It’s great for new pets and kids and ME! (My spastic crafty self)
Pink highlighter marks
It starts to pull out the stain before you scrub or dab.
A little scrubbing with a wet cloth…gone!
Boom!
Pen on couch….
Not a problem.
Get cleaning with your bad self! π
