When my husband and I were drawing out our backyard plans there were a few things we both really wanted- none of which were the same. Thankfully, we have a pretty large space (The reason we bought this house was the yard). We were able to compromise and make most of it fit. His priorities were gardening spaces and some cool long lasting planter boxes. My priorities were solely about creating kid spaces to keep the kids safe, entertained, and active OUTSIDE. I want my kids outside as much as possible! Not just for my sanity :), but because I think that is where some of the best memories are made during childhood.

One of the things I wanted though, my husband was not sold on. He and I butted heads a bit over the….TRAMPOLINE! He didn’t want one. He had his reasons, but I wanted it and I knew it would be a “fun kid thing” for the yard.
Our last trampoline. It decided to fly one day and ended up here. One of Devan’s reasons…
So I stood my ground and kinda had to fight for the trampoline. Thankfully I found a brand of in-ground trampolines (Avyna Trampolines) that looked awesome. After some back and fourth negotiations with the hubs we bought it!
Before we could put it in the ground we had quite the job to do though… Our backyard looked like this.
Uhhhggg…weeds!! It was a long summer of weeds and dirt. We got to work and it started to take shape.
We cleared our property a few times ourselves before we broke down and hired Pinnacle Landscaping to come finish this massive job.
I got the trampoline and Devan got his garden boxes. Pretty rad boxes too. Cement!
The day the kids bike path was poured was pretty exciting, but the day the grass came might have made us literally all jump for joy. The orange stick popping out of the ground in the right corner of the grass is where our splash pad will go. That will have to wait until next summer.
We put Beck to work.
And guess where I found my husband the other day…..
Devan said to me, “I am really glad we got this trampoline.” HA! That’s right!
Our kids are on this trampoline every. single. day. We have loved it! I don’t have to worry about weighing it down during a wind storm and I use it to get the sand off the kids before they are allowed inside. I even find our Great Dane playing on it when the kids are at school. I think it has been one of our best purchases in the yard thus far.
Check out their website for videos on how to install these and for the different sizes and shapes they offer. They are very different than other in-ground trampoline brands. We love how it sits off above the ground just slightly and has a vent around the base. Click HERE to get to their website. Or CLICK HERE to buy through Amazon.
Our backyard still has a way to go, but for now everyone has a safe place to play and get some energy out. Our future plans include a pool, an art studio and workshop, the splash pad, chickens, and more trees! Now we just gotta make more money 😉

Your yard looks beautiful! We were wondering what the condition of the trampoline is 3 years later? Any more pros or cons for the trampoline?

It has held up great! Our kids still use it almost every day and we love it. No complaints so far. If you head to my IG account you can find a coupon code. I can’t share it here, but go find it there.
