Making a flower crown MIGHT look hard, but it’s not at all. You can totally get crafty with your bad self on this…sooo many variations and flowers to try!
You only need 5 things to get started:
Flowers/baby’s breath
Decorative Wire- found HERE
Waterproof Tape- found HERE
Garden Sheers- found HERE
Wire cutters- found HERE
Start by cutting your baby’s breath (or whatever flowers you are using) into small pieces. I did mine a little long, 3-4 inches, for a baby size head. If I was to do it again for a newborn I would do them a little shorter.
Place the flowers on the wire and wrap the steams in waterproof tape. Continue to overlap and wrap more flowers around the crown. I wanted mine to stick up a little bit, so I didn’t put my flowers very close to the wire. You could easily adjust this by laying your flowers lower against the wire and closer together in tighter bunches. There is really no right or wrong, just try your best to lay your tape tight around the flower stems with little to no bumps. As you can see mine is definitely not perfect.
Then take some pictures of your handy work on a sweet little head…….
